Abstract
English is no longer spoken only to other people. Phone calls, meetings, voice messages and everyday conversations are increasingly recorded, transcribed, translated, summarised or interpreted by machines. This changes what it means to be understood and raises new questions for pronunciation teaching. This webinar explores how Global English and AI are reshaping spoken communication, and introduces a practical framework that helps teachers prioritise the features of speech that matter most when communicating with both people and machines.
