In an effort to continue sharing knowledge and innovative practical pronunciation materials and techniques, PronSIG urges teachers to apply for 2023 PronSIG Materials and Activities Award and submit a favourite pronunciation-based exercise, game, or worksheet of their own creation on any pronunciation feature.

What you need to do:

Share your activity plus the following written accompaniment:

  1. Introduce yourself, your students (their L1 and language level) and state your objective for using the material/ worksheet etc. For instance, it could be to introduce and practice specific sounds or to raise awareness of stress. (200-250 words)
  2. Provide the worksheet, game or activity and provide step-by-step instructions for teachers to follow. (500 -1000 words)
  3. Evaluate your experience using the materials: what were its strengths and weaknesses? Did you see results faster than you expected? Did it highlight any surprising issues or bring unexpected challenges to you or your students? (750-1000 words)
  4. Conclude by making suggestions for who the materials might be particularly useful for, e.g. students of a particular L1 or age group. (200-250 words)
